We just watched Romeo & Juliet: A Monkey's Tale on the Discovery Channel. Yeah, wtf and lol was what I was thinking too.
Silly monkeys. The first half seemed to follow the real Romeo and Juilet pretty well, then it became a monkey story and the ending was different.
Reason 5945 I love Vox: instant video upload while YouTube makes me wait, which means I can't update my LJ until YouTube has approved my video(s). I [heart] Vox.
Instead of watching the movie last night (bonus points if you can guess what movie based on the background noise in the videos), I was watching the turtle's escape attempt and was surprised at how close he got.
Sorry for the bad lighting and the part at the end, I thought he was going to get out and I wanted to be able to catch him if he did.
And he tries again. And again and again and again.
After the sixth or eighth or so time, he almost made it out again. Look at those cute little turtle pull-ups! And then I moved the rock to the other end so he didn't have as much height leverage and didn't escape while I wasn't looking.
