What's the best fireworks display you've ever seen?
KFOG's KaBoom! Fireworks going off to music - how much more awesome could you make a fireworks show? Last year was my first year at it, and was really sad to have missed this year's :(
Check out what we have for tomorrow though! We'll have our own show :)
Here's videos of the 3 we've tested out so far:
If I don't show up for work on Wednesday, will someone please bail me out of jail?
We heard fireworks going off, and drove down Doolittle to see if they were coming from the Coliseum (even though we checked the A's schedule online, which said that tonight wasn't a fireworks game).
It turns out that the booms we heard were coming from across the bay. We missed KFOG KaBoom!, which ironically, we were talking about just seconds before.
We were really looking forward to it this year too. Last year was my first time, and it was by far the best fireworks show I had been to. Where else can you see fireworks going off to music?? I can't believe we missed it. I thought it was towards the end of the month, around Memorial Day. I meant to look up the actual date, but kept forgetting to. Last year, it was on the 21st.
I'm really bummed out about it now. I was looking forward to seeing more shooting stars and waterfalls light up the sky, in sync with music. I would have even hobbled there with my gimp leg.
It was *so fun* last year. We found the perfect spot, on a patch of soft grass that actually had a way better view than on the pier, where people were sitting on hard cement. And it was more than just the fireworks and music. We got a $6 artichoke, even though it was way overpriced. We even stayed afterwards and helped pick up trash while we waited for people to clear out. We rescued a lost blanket and pair of sunglasses, and put it on Craigslist. And then there was the mission to find a bathroom. That was an adventure.
I got some great photos and videos too, on my crappy old camera (which really isn't so crappy, as evident by the pictures). And I showed the couple sitting next to us how digital cameras worked because they were surprised when I answered "about 150" to their question of how many pictures "could fit in that tiny little thing."
I can't believed we missed this year's show.
boo :(
