I can access the app again, the way it's supposed to be. Yay! I'm assuming it was something I did on my browser, since it looks like everyone else was able to post fine?
eeeeeeeeee CINDY YOUR THEME IS ON VOX!!!
I'm excited because I've known oh, sweet cin! for a long time now (omg, has it really been 4 years!?), and because I love this illustration. It was originally a design on her blog @ loveshaped, and I wanted to have it since she first put it up. But it's not cool to steal or copy designs, even if it's from a friend. So when she said she didn't know what to submit to the Vox design contest, and that she might not have time for something new, I told her to submit this so I could use it too ;)
The background is a little bit more pink than I like to have on the screen, but I love the header and her dotted loveshaped paper plane trails. I'm more excited about this than when my theme got released haha.
It's almost 3:30 and I am still up. My eyes are tired from staring at the screen for so long, but I'm not ready to sleep yet. I think I've reached the point where my brain is about to stop functioning, but the rest of me really isn't ready for bed yet.
It could be because of how much I slept last night. I got home from work, and pretty much went to bed right after that and got almost a full 12 hours of sleep. I don't know why I was so tired yesterday, and still so awake now.
This is the most lame and boring post ever. I promise better when my brain starts working again. I also have a bunch of posts to catch up on in my Neighborhood, and a bunch of people to connect [back] to. And probably some comments to reply to too. I didn't realize I'd miss so much being away from Vox/my neighborhood for only a week (or two?)
When I visit Vox, the 3 main things I do (other than reading my Neighborhood page) are check the day's QoTD and Vox Hunt, and check to see if there have been any new/interesting replies to a post I commented on.
I just now realized what the Recent Activity section of Read does. I must have missed that when I glanced through it the first time, thinking that it was just recent posts that have been made. Now I see that it's the keep-track-of-where-I've-commented thing, in a different, better organized and more detailed form.
p.s. Is the bigger tags box encouraging me to add more tags? How many tags does an average post/asset have?
So um, I haven't touched my Vox profile in a long time (since like the last 5 releases?) and I figured that I should at least add in some interests. So what did I do?
Yup, I copied and pasted the interests from my LiveJournal profile without checking to see if any of it is outdated or if there are new things that need to be added. Yay for laziness.
One day, I *will* spiffy up both profiles.
ETA: I added "vox" to my interests ㋛
and ㋛ is my new favorite smiley. It's "shi" in katakana inside a circle.
I was having this strange problem with Vox, where I couldn't post and couldn't comment. For some reason, my cursor just wouldn't go into the compose box, or the comment box. But it worked fine everywhere else. When I clicked to answer the QoTD, the text didn't show in the compose box, and text didn't show when I hit edit entry on one of my posts.
This was very, very, very strange since Vox hadn't been updated or patched, and neither had my browser. It was weird that it just stopped working when nothing had changed, and it was working merely half an hour ago before it started not working. Restarting my browser didn't fix it, and neither did restarting my computer.
As the day went on and the problem didn't fix itself, I was thinking oh noes, what would I do with Vox if I can't post or comment, which is what Vox is for.
Obviously this has been fixed though, as I'm able to post this. Randy came up with the solution, which was Shift+reload, which somehow miraculously fixed it. So if you ever run into this problem, fear not that you will not be able to use Vox again; just shift+reload!
